The staff at Maple Leaf are fun-loving individuals who have a passion for children and are interested in giving children the best education that they deserve. All the staff are specifically trained in Early Childhood education based on the Canadian curriculum, and their training is on-going to ensure that their knowledge is updated regularly. They are trained in behaviour management, program planning, first aid, and nutrition and menu planning to name a few.

3 months to 23 months. Research shows that at this critical age, for optimal development, the children need nurturing by at least one consistent caregiver. Maple Leaf staff are trained with the knowledge and expectations of their developmental stages and as such plan activities based on their key development stages such as sensory, arts and cognitive activities.

This age group is from 2 to 3 years of age. Our Busy Bees have the opportunity to learn positive independent characters like self-help, self-feeding, positive toilet training and developing healthy and positive peer relationships. Their activities will be geared towards promoting key experiences to prepare them for success in language development as well as cognitive and physical development. They have access to materials for arts and crafts, and games and toys that will encourage their development and stimulate their interests in various areas.

This age group is from 3 years to 4 years of age. Our group 2 of the Playful Penguins benefit greatly from the experiences and activities that provide increased opportunities through play and exploration which we at Maple Leaf offer. This is a first step to building confidence and the right tools to progress toward elementary school. They also have same access to materials for arts and crafts, various games, pre- reading programmes and the Jolly Phonics programme.

Our Shining Stars are confident learners. Aged 4 to 5 years of age, Maple Leaf provides them with opportunities to interact with knowledgeable and responsive adults who impart knowledge through active learning, enriched curricula based on the Canadian system. Maple Leaf prepares these children as they get set for elementary school. We provide learning experiences through activities such as puppetry, drama, book clubs, cooking and baking activities, sewing and knitting and scrapbooking activities, to name a few.

This age group consists of children between the ages of 5 to 8 years of age. This group of children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful and constructive activities through the various clubs that are offered to afford them time to learn new skills in a comfortable, home-oriented environment.

At Maple Leaf, we encourage parents and caregivers to be an integral part of the children’s development by helping to build the skills they need to make effective transitions from one phase of their development to the next.

Bringing up children in our busy world today can be challenging and we at Maple Leaf are eager and excited to join you in this wonderful adventure of discovery, exploration, and learning and, above all, fun.

We look forward to being a positive part of your child’s developmental journey.
